Jordan has been unstoppable going and growing (literally) from strength to strength, it’s been fantastic to see! This comp being the best yet with her PB total of 280kg and first place! We’re so proud of her!!

Carla is such a hero! She competed off the back of rehabbing post car accident which was a huge set back impacting her strength and confidence.. however wow what a performance. Sheina absolutely killed it! She won her cat, best female lifter and 3rd place best lifter overall classes male/female! She also got that massive 90kg bench at only 57kg bw, what an achievement! So many wins for Sheinas first full power with USM and we couldn’t be prouder.

Rhea breezed through her deadlift attempts in her first deadlift only ‘raising bar’ comp.

Rachel never fails to disappoint, and this comp was no different. She pushed herself to the absolute max with deadlifts and gave it everything she had. This easily qualified Rachel for Masters next year, where we will no doubt see even more kilos added to that ever-increasing total.

This was Vinnie’s first ever competition and he didn’t disappoint! Going 8 for 9 and with a massive total, he walked away with the Southeast Squat, Bench and total record, only narrowly missing out on the deadlift record on his 3rd attempt. He also placed 3rd in his weight class beating other competitors in the open as a Sub Junior

Georgina went into this comp having not fully peaked. She didn’t think qualifying for masters was even on the able but did she absolutely smash it and put up an incredible total to qualify? Helen the notorious dead lifter came in with a bang to this comp showing us the triple threat. With a huge squat PB a chunky bench and a phat af deadlift pb of 205!!! Giving her an increase total of 22.5kg. That hefty 450 total looking very very dangerous for nationals next year.

Fiona knocked it out the park with a little break from powerlifting due to babies a huge comeback. With a total increase of 35kg. plus she’ll no doubt get that last squat of 140 now we have something to chase next time round with the intention of heading into a British powerlifting affiliated comp now we are going to bring the big guns out.

Going into Euros Max was having a few tricky sessions so to place 4th overall was truly a testament to how consistent he is on the platform. Max had an 8 for 9 only just missing his last deadlift which was a pull for deadlift gold and a new British record. with that being his last junior comp, you can start looking out for him in the open next year

Danni our lil dynamo has been relentless in her pursuit to beat her previous comp numbers. her squat didn't do her justice comp day but bench did with a 2.5kg pb and deadlifts were on fire with her final 3x bodyweight deadlift which was a southwest record and 5kg pb. at Danni's level pbs don't fall easy so this was a huge win and enough for gold and to win best lifter.

Anna smashed her first comp like a boss with some beautiful confident lifting. squat and deadlift openers moving so well she was able to increase her final attempts which still looks so comfortable. her bench opener was so easy that it looked like another 5kg would fly but it wasn't quiet there that day. despite missing her last two benches she still finished the day adding a nice juicy 17.5kg lifetime pb to her total. now that's impressive.

To say we’re proud of our girl Helen would be a huge understatement, she has been working her ass off for this moment for a while now. Her focus and discipline is second to none and she absolutely deserved to be on that podium with a smile to match her performance. ‘She is the one to watch’ words of the commentator, is bang on. 3rd at her first nationals with more in the tank. for a first nationals our girl lucy did incredible. opening on what were her second attempts in her last comp just seven weeks ago. she encountered some unexpected challenges on the day but we earn from it and it just makes for a more resilient return to the platform. the ones that got away will be her openers next time, oh we're just getting started.

Our girl Katherine killed it. Unlucky balance issue with her last massive deadlift of 187kg, which is there and would have pushed her total over 400. Can’t wait to see so much more from this strong woman.

Well done to our girl Deena at her first comp back since her knee surgery last year, and while rehabbing a recent injury, this is quite an achievement.  She’s been with us for only 6 weeks but during which time has added 10kg to her total off the platform. As she says, this was a great experience and an invaluable lesson and now we build. Let’s go…

We’ve been concentrating on technical efficiency to make sure lifts were comp spec more than crazy weight and she smashed it. Well done Rachel bench is moving so much better. Excellent work and result.
